Kicking booze has become an increasingly popular trend among a percentage of the population that is seeking to elevate their lives and overall well-being. Alcohol has been a staple of social gatherings for centuries, but now more than ever, we are seeing the “being sober is boring” narrative change – and some will say for the better.

To better understand this shift in the zeitgeist, let’s go back to 2012. A british charity, Alcohol Change UK, introduced a challenge to the public – kick off the new year with a month of no drinking, whatsoever. Thus, “Dry January” was born. Ever since the challenge was initiated, millions of people have started to notice the direct health benefits that come from just a month of being alcohol-free. Increased mental acuity, noticeably better sleep, and an overall uptick in physical health are among a few of the benefits you could receive from a solid month of sobriety.

Now, we definitely know that choosing sobriety, even if it is for a short period of time, can be a whole lot easier said than done – but it does not have to be impossible. We are seeing sobriety become a social trend that is deserving of its hashtag, #sobrietyissexy. That is why Serendipity is proud to offer our custom Water Garden for your next event or social gathering this spring!

The reasons are endless as to why infused waters are an excellent substitution for alcohol! First and foremost, staying hydrated is one of the best things that you can do for your body. Simply put, hydration can be attributed to boosting your energy levels, improved immune function, and even help your body burn more calories, ultimately helping with weight loss! We’d be hard-pressed to find that alcohol can do the same for you, too. Not only are infused waters the healthier option, oftentimes, they can taste even better than that cocktail you have been craving. Below are a few recipes that we are sure you are going to love, and will be the perfect addition to any occasion!

Making infused water is easy and fun to do! For each recipe below, simply add your ingredients to your pitcher or container of choice, add ice (if desired), and fill with water. Then let the magic happen – your water will be at peak deliciousness around 2-4 hours after it is initially infused. The ingredients you choose ultimately decide the shelf life of your water, but generally it will last in the fridge for up to a week.
