Meet the Executive Chef

Chef Austin Cueto

Executive Chef Austin Cueto studied at the school of culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University, Denver, CO. The beginning of Austin’s training was rigorous in the techniques of a classical brigade kitchen at venues such as The Sage & Onion in Santa Barbara, CA. Austin was Executive Chef of the Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group from 2006 -2018. He also headed the culinary department of the Denver Art Museum from 2011-2018. He was the Executive Chef of Quality Italian in Denver’s Cherry Creek neighborhood prior to taking the reins of the Serendipity Catering kitchen.

Meet the Founders

Todd & Laura Zaspel

Founders Todd and Laura Zaspel are no strangers to sustainability and fine cuisine: Laura Zaspel, President and CEO of Serendipity has a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Management, and previously worked for the US Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy before creating Serendipity Catering. Serendipity’s Founding Chef, Todd has a degree in International Business from Mankato State University (Minnesota), and brings his love of international travel to Serendipity’s menus.
