Serendipity Catering is an events company centered around green practices such as sustainability and regenerative agriculture. Which is why we partnered with Women in Sustainability, using locally sourced ingredients along with vegetables from our very own urban garden, to host a Globally inspired farm-to-table meal.
Women in Sustainability
Women in Sustainability began as two women, Becky Migas and Beth Birchfield, seeking to network and collaborate with their peers in the field of sustainability practices. This small networking group quickly grew via word-of-mouth into full-fledged non-profit organization. “Today, Women in Sustainability is an inclusive organization that brings together women and allies who are passionate about environmental sustainability to connect, learn, and collaborate to fight climate change and social injustice through education and advocacy.” Women in Sustainability happily welcomes all organizations and people with a drive to transform our planet for the better.
Why we come Together
We created a stunning 4-course vegetarian meal that celebrated cuisine from Thailand to Mexico. With the driving idea being, to bring people together and showcase how local practices can create global effects. The meal took guests on a global journey, enhanced by participants sharing stories of their heritage and cultural connections to the environment. After leaving the beautiful Sumac Hill Farms in Centennial, Colorado, guests left with full bellies and a deeper understanding of how our local actions can create global ripples.
